Passenger Window Broken - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #32389 5 posts Started by yyet
Well.. I just bought my car and one of the problems it came with was the passenger window doesn't roll down. I am pretty sure the motor is burnt out and doesn't work. So when I bought it I was like yeah, who needs a window, I drive with the air on all the time, but now that I got all my sounds, I need to have the windows down to show off biggrin.gif (Pictures will come soon) So does anyone know what to do? Like is it easy to fix it myself and just buy the motor??? Or have a professional do it???
If you dont know what your doing than you'll need a professional.
But I'm sure someone on here would be able to help you.
Alot of smart and experienced people here smile.gif

The window unit is all one piece: motor, cables, track. Expensive to replace unless you get one from a junkyard. One of your cables might just be binding. If you can, take the door panel off and have a look.
motors on most car should last the lifetime of the car, i have a feeling its your regulator, maybe $50 bucks for a new one, and it doesn't hurt to pay the extra $20 for a shop to look at what really is wrong, but you're from hawaii so im not sure how prices up there are....
Well, thanks for all the replies... but just starting the spring semester so I dunno when I will have time kindasad.gif , I guess it is AC till then.. Thanks
