If you could have any JDM Import? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #3236 28 posts Started by coustoe
okay so this importing the celica JDM got my head in a whirl, So many cars for similiar prices, Wanna know what car you guys would get.

Skyline?
Celica gt4?
Supra?
lots of other cars.
Supra....or maybe a lancer or skyline but more than likely a supra
skyline

I love the gt4, but I've wanted a skyline since I first saw one when I was 5... yeah, thats my dream car
gt4. May not have the biggest engine, but I am in love with how they look. Chicks think they are pretty sexy too.

skyline r34 v-spec 2 in that blue color with the gold rims. such a nice car

why get a jdm supra? the usdm supra actually has more power stock and they are already here.

the gt4 would be great, but to many people it will just be one of the "older bug-eyed celicas". i would rather do an awd conversion and get a 5sfe to swap in when it comes time for smog check!!

one word Price

why are you guys saying supra, lancer +other when you can buy them here
and they have more power STOCK then JDM versions....????

but anywayz my favorite JDMs are:

*SKYLINE (GTR, R34, R33)
*SILVIA (S15, S14)
*GT-FOUR (st205)
*FTO (all-engine Mitsubishi)

and my EURO-imports are

*E36 BMW M3 Coupe ( 30% more power then USDM)
*E46 BMW M3 Coupe (25% more power then USDM)

(there is other nice sub-compact import
4-doors but since I'm 6.7; I'm too big for them)

This was at Import Invasion on Sunday:

stock for stock though a supra will beat the r34 skyline

true, but to me, driving is more than a straight line. i have more fun hitting the twisties at 40-60mph that hitting the limitter at 115.

if i wanted a straight line car i would get a muscle car with a big american v8

For me it'd have to be the Altezza 280T

Stay with me on this one: Looks like a normal lexus IS200 with a nice kit, but under the hood is a factory 3S-GE vvti BEAMS and a factory standard guaranteed TOMS Turbo setup. Also has other improvements from TOMS (suspension, wheels etc). This would be a great sleeper car - looks stock, but could own most things on the road.

The 280 stands for 280 ps (at 7600rpm), and when combined with the approx 1300kg weight, lets just say if this car was mine I would be a very happy boy (sigh) >smile.gif>

R34
S15
ST205
JZ80
SW20
AE86
>biggrin.gif>

=(
hmm havent even heard of some of these cars, anyone got pics?
If I could get any JDM import I would have to get a Skyline... I wouldn't get a Supra simply cause that the one car that toyota was kind enough to share with us Americans... But anyway I would get a Skyline that car has power and beauty...

Gotta love the SR-20DET

My friend has a SR20DET he is putting in his 91 240SX, after he's getting it bored out to 2.4L - see the latest SuperStreet - 2.2L SR20DET w/740HP - no joke they're the 3sgte of Nissan.

For prices on Skylines that are imported check out:
www.streetlegalskylines.com

I posted pics of that blue w/gold rims skyline, the kid who owns it claims to be pushing around 500hp

If your going to get a JDM car, u get something that you cannot get in the U.S. (I.E. a Skyline).

1st i would want a
mid 90's Levin
altezza
trueno
GT4

I like toyota >smile.gif> but the levins and altezzas would b bad
lol, are you saying the Altezza's not a toyota?
I'd want a full JDM S13 and a Caldina >biggrin.gif>
Isnt a Levin an Corrolla, and isnt a Caldina a Matrix...and dont they make an AllTrac Matrix w/o a 3sgte?

MyFlickrMyeBay_Perpetual Aperture_
not the early model caldina's. And the levin's aren't corolla's, I don't think. I want the caldina with the 4th gen 3sgte and a caldina from the 90's. I like the whole 95 prelude front end thing they got going on
i would go with the mitsubishi FTO. they look sick and not to many people have heard of them.
S15 silvia all the way, i hate to break from my toyota loyalty but that is the sickest car i've ever seen and fast as hell.
My top 3.
