ok i need to strip the paint of my car
but right now imparticularily the engine bay

sand paper
or
chem stripper?

and if sand paper wats the best grit size?
A litte of both if you can get your hands on a high pressure power washer, or a sand blaster helps alot. 500 Grit makes quick work of everything and if your not looking for the smoothest surface doesnt look to bad painted over.

DTE

I am a thief.do not buy anything from me.
i say if u wanna take it all off..media/sand blaster if u can rent one or get ur hands on 1, if not..then chem stripper. Chem stripper is clean, does the job quickly and you wont have 2 worry about scratches. Chem strip it, power wash it, and then if u want to smooth some things out, just a nice fine grit paper.
can't power wash.....i have no wheels/suspension/brakes its up on 4 jackstands

but i'll probably chem strip it and wipe down
