I posted this on MySpace. I'd really like to see what you guys have to say about this.

"Why, in the past year, has cocaine become the new weed? Instead of "getting stoned off pot" at parties, people are in the bathroom doing lines of coke.

My uncle and aunt lost their baby because they were doing it in front of her, and selling ALL of their stuff to get it. I lost a few friends because their personalities changed 100% because of their drug use. They would become violent and out of control. It makes me sad."

My best friend in the entire world started doing it after she and I moved in together.. and it completely changed our relationship.. she broke into my room.. bleached my things.. f-cked up things. She is not the person I went to high school with. She is completely different. And that friendship which was the best friendship I ever had is now over because of it.

Where are these kids my age getting the money to do such things? What is wrong with our society?

Please let me know your opinions. I'm really interested and concerned.

It's such a shame how something like that could turn a life-long relationship bad. I've never heard of anything good coming from drugs. What is the world coming to these days?

cocaine use is nothing new i think it had died down a bit from the 80's but even if one person is abusing it.. that is one person to many ... i have friends that have done it.. then just stopped never did it again .. i also know people that just fooked up their life using that stuff.... i also feel if a person knows rite from wrong and starts using that stuff what they get is what they get ...

I could never do it. This guy tried offering me some "blow" once saying its a rich mans drug. He said it gives you a drunk feeling w/ out the hang over in the morning. I still said: NO thanks!!...the idea of snorting stuff is nasty to me bleh.

Later everyone told me "yah blow is just another word for CRACK!"

Its craZy the amounts of money they waste on this stuff. He told me that the tiny little bottle cost him $100. It was the smallest bottle I had ever seen. what a crazy whore

coke has been around for a LOOOONG time. pot just kind of got more accepeted as not a real drug and got more popular because of that.

wait till you find out your friends are doing heroin, then youll see what drugs are all about.

yeah its sad that when i go out to parties im afriad of being hawled of to jail for being around this stuff since it happens at every party up here.

Thats why they call them DRUGS. Concaine is almost impossible to get off of once you've done it once. Cause the first time is the best, and after that you will always be searching for that "perfect" high that you'll never be able to obtain. It's a hideous addiction. People that say pot's different, and that it's not addictive are just trying to justify it, and are screwed up. It's the same, just on a lesser scale. Plus, chances are, that if you really get into pot, you'll end up eventually doing cocaine.

I say don't even go there. Find some other sport that gives you a better, healthy high. Like snowboarding. ......or even better, if you've got the money to blow buying drugs, just start modding car.

This site and the Celi are the only highs I need

Weed has just became populized in maintstream america. Cocaine is on its way there. I pretty much agree with everything that has been said so far nothing much to add, sep its a hell of a drug and mess's your **** up fast(well mind and lifestyle).

Cocaine and Ecstasy are the drugs of choice around here. I've seen some people pretty messed up on both.

I live in a wealthy area so the high school kids have been doing coke for about 3 years now. Started to get popular when i was a senior! Never seen it done and I will never get close to ever trying it!

Cocaine's a helluva drug.


But Ive never done it, never will do it. I would never screw around with that crap its the quickest way to ruin your life.

thats not true at all. you have to do it more then once to get an addiction to it, and most likley your addiction will happen if you have friends that do it all the time, or its something thats really easy to get for you on a daily basis.


i belive everyting in life is fine, in moderation. just stay away from the hard core **** like hearoin that could kill you from just one bad shot.

cocaine is a psychological addiction, not physical. a physical drug is more like heroine. the reason why people are 'addicted' to cocaine is because they like the feel/'everyones doing it type vibe". their mind tricks them into thinking they need it to be ok.

Weed doesn't lead to other drugs either because that as well is a psychological addiction. now i know everyones going to be saying you don't get addicted to weed but thats not the truth. people like to get high. simple.

anyway... the real gateway drug is cigrettes and alcohol. that then leads u to try pot, or coke, or lsd, etc...

I cant believe this topic has showed up right now with all the crap that has been happening to me lately. I dont know what to do so maybe i could get some input from you guys. My 2 best friends all through out grade/middle/ and high school have become tottaly different people. I mean a total 180 turn around. It all started when a few months before high school ended when we got to talking about moving out together. Well i kept talking to them about how much bull sh*t it was that they where smoking all this weed all the time and i hated it and i really wanted them to stop. Well they would have none of it. So i told them that no i wouldnt moving in with them. I even gave them reasons like, i hate the smell of pot, i hate what it does to people, and they would constantly be haveing parties and i dont want that at the place where i live. They denied all of them. Well here we are 6 months after high school and there apartment is a **** hole from the parties and they have totally become entirerly different people. They dont want to have anything to do with me and they say that we will never be friends again or even on speaking grounds unless i smoke with them. Which is total bull sh*t. Im not smoking anything. But another problem is, is that they are high 24/7 (they even admitted it) and i know one of these days when they are just driving around smoking in the car they are going to get the idea to come up to my apartement and f*ck with the celi. because they always used to do that **** to other peoples cars in high school. So i dunno what to do about these guys becasue we were friends through everything and now its nothing and also all the friggin money im putting into my car is going to be for nothing cause they are going to come up here and mess with it. I just know. So if you guys have any input that would be awesome. Thanks a bunch. You guys rock.

i say after high school either stop with the weed or graduate to big boy drugs.

If you HAVE to do something, keep it with weed, dont graduate to big boy drugs, thats one of the stupidest things Ive ever heard and a HUGE reason why such young people are doing heavy drugs and dying.

Kinda harsh. Drugs have been around for a very long time. Native Americans used hallucinogens in rituals and ceremonies, its just part of life. The problem is the availability and potency of drugs.

no matter wut u do, people will always do drugs wether u like it or not. if it was ur friend and they changed, then move on and make another friend. it happens to almost everyone. what can you do about it? my friend got into the whole coke thing. i tried to help him out and open up his eyes. he had so much going for him. he was makin money. had a girlfriend. great guy, really. well that ****ed eerything up for him. girl left him. lost his job cuz of it. the guys a loser. i tried and basically wasted my time. if they like it, then let them do it. everyone knows the consequences so to feel sorry for someone thats ruining their life with drugs is a waste of time. i apologize if anyone feels differently about it. everyone is responsible for their own life. thats how i see it and i can imagine many disagree with me.

i figure if ur going to waste ur life doing any drugs then after high school why dont u step it up a notch and really go balls deep and f*ck urself up!

Well you dont throw your life away by trying stuff. Nicotine is a drug, alcohol is a drug. I had never smoked weed til I went to Oneonta (Stoneonta) and I ended up doing it probably everyday and as soon as I left there I stopped.

ive never tried a cigarette and ive never done a drug..i drink occasionally but have realized that i will never be able to have it in my house cuz i tend to be having a night cap each night now and thats no bueno

This is exactly what happened to me. I moved in with my best friends and the house became a ****hole because of all the parties that were thrown.

My ex best friend slashed my tires, and drained my antifreeze. This was while she was high on coke.

Just stay away from them, and end all communication. Might want to look into getting a restraining order if things get out of hand.. like I had to.
