ok here is a list of parts and pieces i have so far that i'm goin to replace and/or upgrade and who makes it

Coilover Sys.----------TEIN
EDFC-------------------TEIN

Pillowball, Front-------Cusco
Pillowball, Rear--------Cusco
Brake pads Rear------EBC
6gc RR caliper---------Bendix
6gc RL caliper---------Bendix
6gc R rotor------------SP Perform.
7gc big brake(Front)----------ROTORA
Wheels-------------------------STERN (ST2)
Tires Front---------------------BFGOODRICH------------KDW2 215/35YR18
Tires Rear---------------------BFGOODRICH------------KDW2 245/35YR18

so basically what i'm asking is....
what would you add/change/remove to/from this list
and WHY would you do so......

if you can't say WHY i don't want a post....lookin for some good reasons and so forth
(oh BTW i don't need strut bars wink.gif )

why would you need to replace your axles? what kind of 400+ hp motor u putting in there?
how good are the pillowball mounts? what are they supposed to do?
cusco upper pillow ball mounts are not only stronger and pretty but they allow camber adjustment.....

and why replace axels? cause i have 2 broken ones smile.gif

how did you brake 2 of them even when i was turboed and did 1/4 at spokane speed way i never had a problem with my stock axels

and thats a nice list of parts there about $4000

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
more then 4000$
and the driver side inner CV boot was broken just because it did....
and then i intensionally trashed the passenger side smile.gif
What Stern's are you looking at? Since most of their wheels are 8.5" or wider, and meant for RWD applications

1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of moneyI'm not really an asshole, but I play one on the internet.**** Photobucket
Why do you need a big brake kit, unless you're producing massive amounts of power or autocrossing? If you're just looking for better handling I'd go with:
Rear Disc conversion
Cross drilled/slotted rotors all around
Some type of high performance pads
Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines

I can understand how the 7GC big brake kit could be a nice addition, but to me, not worth the some $1200 it costs.

unless you seen an autocrosser running 18" chrome rims i think your goin on the wrong track wink.gif

and i already have wats on your list minus the SS brake lines but good idea i'll add them to the list...

big brakes are for the fact that they are big brakes and freakin sweet....
honestly do dinky lil ST rotors look good behind massive 18s? nope.... i need sumthing to fill the space
First pic doesn't work, but damn, they do look sweet in that second pic. Can't wait to see it finished, it will be badass.

[TeamNJCT
mac read the list....

cusco upper pillowball mounts
adjustable in the front
fixed in the rear wink.gif
Does Tein even offer a electronic damping force controller that works with their SS coilovers for the Celica?

7a-fte in progressstill need a manifold, fuel pump, greddy e-manage, and oil lines / water lines

I think theres some problems with hood clearence, you need to use the GT-FOUR hood, because it gives some extra room under the hood for the controllers.

Dan, I think 95CelicaST is right....Sterns start at 8.5" wide, so just consider that when you shop. I love Stern wheels too, but thats alot of rotating mass unless performance and fitment is a secondary concern.

3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting.
yea my fronts are 8.5" wide and the rears are 9.5" wide

performance haha thats joke laugh.gif laugh.gif

and fitment well thats wat offset is for....that and nothing a little bodywork couldn't help if needed

oh you have to use the ST185 EDFC system and need a hood change/cut to allow for the extra height of the EDFC

Uh oh, Dan.....I have a feeling thats how your last project got into trouble. "....nothing a little bodywork can't help....." kindasad.gif

9.5" wide wheels are going to rub like mad, I can't see them fitting withough hitting the inside of the strut on bumps or griding against the wheelwell. I mean, not to rain on the parade here....it'll look great with deepdish wheels like that, but I think the drivability of your car will suck hardcore if you use such a wide wheel. wink.gif

I can only imagine you guys sitting on Santa's lap...

"It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"1995 AT200 Celica ST:stocked out daily driver...1984 AE86 Corolla GT-SR5:silvertop 20V 4AGE project car jacked up with goodies...1991 SW2x MR2 n/a:bare bones hardtop model soon to be...
if i was doing a full rebuild i would replace the stabilizing bushes on number 1 arm at the hub (circled in blue) and replace the whole number 2 arm (the adjustable one ) both sides, i replaced them on mines and the difference was amazing , granted mine were shot and knocking like a bugger but if your going to put performance suspension on the car then these bushes should be replaced as the harder suspension is only going to wear them out sooner or later i found out the hard way mad.gif

Here's a picy of what I'm talking about , the bush circled in blue can be replaced on its own but the one in red cant you need to buy a whole new arm (in the UK anyway )

My Celica Pictures
The EDFC is a toy. As infrequently as you would change suspension settings, I think you would be better off with just the SS coilovers or the D2 coilovers for the 6gc. I am not positive but I think the D2's come with the pillow ball mounts. Research it in the suspension forum of the mr2oc.com and you will find the answer.

LOL, well in the relation to the rubbing it defenitly depends on the offset i chose, the ride height and if needed i'll have the rear fenders rolled or cut (professionally) i already know of people running 9 inch wide on the celica so hopefully the half inch won't aggrevate too much...just have to do some measuring and so forth to see how it will fit

and if i need to get a low offset/spacers and push out the rear quarter panels well then just more reason to save up and have someone make me a widebody wink.gif

I'm pretty sure playr knows what he's doing. I mean come on he did the supra conversion. And look pretty good. I got faith in you Dan. Lets hope to see it all done. wink.gif
haha thanks but corey is playing the guy who sits on your shoulder and tells you wat to do.....a Conscience i do believe
and i thank him for it....always good to have someone beating you with a baseball bat when something could potentially turn out....well like my supra project lol.....let it rest in hell
Ok, player, if I don't bust your balls who will?

Your setup actually sounds great. I'd ditch the EDFC, cuz like lagos said, you dont adjust it that much and it's just more money.

As for the brakes, sure big brake kits look nice, but brakes for stopping, not looks. I think you'd be satified with a nice rotor/pad combo. SS lines aren't any where NEAR worth the time and effort in installing em. I'd recommanded DOT 4 fuild as well, but I'm sure you already know that.

New bushings will statisfy you, altho once again, a real big pain to install.

And wheres the LSD?

NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife92 Civic hatch B16 - Sold10th anniv RX-7 - RIPThe Slow Celica - Sold...and then crushed crushed due to street racing.Quote from Seinfeild: George's Boss reading a magazine: "People magazine's most beautiful people. Oh and a Celica...nothin wrong with that!"
lol LSD nah....

but EDFC is basically a nice toy that i want cause none of you have it wink.gif

big brakes are more for style and look then pure functionality although it will be an increase in stopping power...yet one more thing yall don't have wink.gif
SS lines well lets just say i don't have any to start

i mean after all this entire build is things that i don't "have to have"
