Headlight Conversion - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #31150 25 posts Started by dustin15brown
i was thinking about posting that an hour ago. lol. but yea it is very unique.

FlickR2011 Subaru WRX and 1997 3sgte Celica
dont really mind the headlight but i dont like that front end
I want to see the car from a few different angles....then maybe i'd be able to tell if it was ok or not. So far, I don't know what to make of it.

if you dont have anything nice to say, or cant comment without being rude, DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL.

i can't even tell what headlights those are...
RSX?!?!
they're tilted and i just can't tell, lol

looks good, but i'm confused why canards only on one side.
civic 2003 generation3 projector head light

Thats what it says in his profile anyway. But i think its unique wink.gif i like custom work.
I've seen it in real life and its alright. He only lives like 20 mins from me.

looks better than player's light conversion

1999 Celica GT
lol, woops. right there in the profile :\
i'm not use to the new layout yet, i thought that lower right area was all ads.
I'm not being rude, I was just saying that I'm undecided without more pictures to see different angles of the car. It's certainly an interesting project, it gets a big nod of approval from me in regards to originality and thinking outside the box. Even if there were more pictures and I decided I didn't like it for some reason, I would never say it sucked, I would just stay out of the thread and keep my opinion to myself. wink.gif

Almost has an 3rd gen. RX-7 kind of profile about it. That would probably be a relatively easy headlight swap, to mold in a set of aftermarket RX-7 lamps because of their smaller size.

wasnt that car for sale a few months back. I think it was blue color and was discussed on these boards before? Regardless I think it is a crime to use our close competitor's parts on a celica. I give Dan (Player158) more props on his work.

Dan did it himself and took the risk of a major front conversion upon himself.

His car is currently garaged and from what i heard he wants his old celica lights back because a celica is not a celica without those cute round lights.

I personally appreciate work but I am not a huge fan of uncelicanizing a celi, same reason i dont like Currens because they resemble integras

Captain Pessimist
You could say we resemble USDM Integras? We both switched to the four-circled headlights in 94. So, thats not really saying much.

looks grrreat, cant wait to see more pics
biggrin.gif good work , however i like the celicas headlights ! Personnaly i wouldnt have changed them .

351.5bhp RWD TT
well, its not bad, could use some work and some new paint, would be better withough that brand bumper I think, but all in all good work, HL convertions are hard work so I can respect that.
I tihnk the car looks good from the pic i saw...need to see more of the car tho
wow, i would like more pics cause thats a terrible angle and doesnt show this supposed "widebody" kit. GJ on a conversion though just not my choice of headlights.

By the way, now i remember why i stopped reading through the forums. As soon as someone says they dont like it, then bam some hack thinks hes king and can tell them to f*ck off cause its not nice, but my when a respected member says they dont like it well good game to them.

some of you guys kill me, really what good is your post compared to the person saying they dont like it, at least theirs states and opinion on the car unlike your rant bashing.

P.S. this is a statement that many will understand, dont reply to me unless you are talking about the car. KTHX

hows it taste motha f*cka
what?

yup you got it yuri mine is in the garage waiting on 4 cute headlights wink.gif
supras didn't work out too well with out dumbing a lot more cash then i wanted to spend on it

now for this new member's rides, as i don't normally condone honda parts this is actually a pretty good job! mad props on the work...did you do it yourself?

i assume though the car isn't fully finished either, as canards are missing and the bumper/hood transition could be smoothed...
this was the main issue i had with my conversion, with out the ability to fully fabricate sheetmetal and a very high level of bodywork skill/knowledge this is a very HARD HARD problem area..

good job on the work!
Sorry but i think is just well wrong......dont like it... thumbsdown.gif

312whp with more to come....
I would never do a headlight conversion on the Celica,
I brought it because it looks cute, hot and sexy the way it is smile.gif
But I'll give this guy credit for thinking outside the box, and
every other guys and girls who done the same thing.

This is very much a case of every one to their own...personally I think it looks pretty good, its unique and he/she wont drive past anyone and go "damn those are my headlights/paint job". I say good work and I'd like to see more of the car smile.gif
