Hi,

Im busy with building a turbo on my Celica T20 1.8 7AFE engine, i have all the parts already, but i dont know which Missing link valve i can use from Overboost.com, they only have mlv's from Honda and i dont know which fits my celica.

Can someone help me out here, because i dont think theres another option to bypass the map sensor.

Yeah, I don't see why not. Most people going turbo probably have some form of fuel correction like an AFC so I guess it really doesn't matter what MAP sensor they use. Hmm this is sounding familiar...

ypu thats the basic idea, only thing is the 3rd gen has a 2.5 bar map...im not sure about the 4th. the 2nd gen has the 2bar map, it just only uses it in that application for fuel cut.
you wanna use the combination of the 2bar map sensor, and basicly about double your stock injector size..and make small corrections with the SAFCII

ok, so i cant use any missing link valve?
An other mapsensor is hard 2 find here in holland.

Is my problem solved when i use a 2.0 bar map sensor and other injectors?

Last question: On what car can i find that map sensor.

the 2 bar map sensor im talking about comes from a st-185 alltrac (90-93) or the mr2 turbo (90-94)
you can usually find them for about 75$ from www.mr2oc.com or www.alltrac.net or ebay or the like.

I started the post that they put a link to and am now currently using a GM 3bar map sensor out of a 91 GMC Typhoon that I found at a parts store for $28 compared to the 3S one that I was finding for $150+. I am mainly using it over the 3S one mainly because of price but I'm sure they are very similar.

So. How's that working for you? Mind posting you're settings from your AFC so that he has a good starting point if he decides to go this route?

i used the check valve even when i ran 10 psi with no porblems its no the cleanest way but it works the hard thing about the map sensor is getting your ecu to read them right at the right signal etc thats why the 3s map is plug and play same signal from the 5s to the 3s

yeah but with all those check valves, the ecu isint reading the map sensor correctly too .
i always thought you guys did the check valve hack, because the 3s sensor wouldnt work for the 7a?
