weight of our celies - 6G Celicas Forums

hi guys,

-i was wonderin' what the exact weight of out celicas are?

-also how much hp does a 94 celica gt 2.2L engine have? (all stock right now)

well i don't know the exact weight but as i've heard somewhere between 2400-2600lbs...GT came in 2.2L and it produced 130hp..i believe the 96-99 celica GTs produced 135hp....someone correct me if im wrong...
I dont know if there is much difference between the Australian and American model.
But the Australian model

Nominal Kerb Mass is
SX Manual 1165KG
SX Auto 1195
ZR Manual 1178
ZR Auto 1208

Gross vehicle mass is 1600Kg

All the Australian model came with the 5sfe
The SX is the base model, while the ZR is the top of the line (equivalent to the GT).
The 5sfe motor is 100kw/5400rpm
Torque is 196Nm/4400rpm

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
I dynoed my 95 Celica GT and got 99 hp at the wheels...

ditch the short ram and i bet it goes up a lil >wink.gif>
I took mine to the dunp once and got a weight of about 2400 I think. (cant say if the scale was acurate or not but its gata be pretty close) the stock waight is withought the ridder or whatever you have added with wheels, and subs or whatever.

I have a cold air intake now... plus 2 1/4" cat back with magna flow
but i haven't been back yet to see if its helped..

HA! i got the lightest model with the highest hp motor option (besides the later gen 3s). oh well i still got things to add roll cage and such.

94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.
aww..leave out the convertible huh? lol :-p

when you get your swap done and my car is outta the shop well have to run them

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
when it was tested in summer the weight of my car was 1355kg... including a full tank of petrol, me as a driver (120kg) a full (16" iron) spare and many other trash that supposed to be in the car to pass the test.... and 2 bags of clothes left in there from the hollydays:P
