Matrix XR or XRS Rims and Tires - 6G Celicas Forums

My dad has a 2005 Toyota Matrix XR. He has the 16" Rims. After checking the tires they are the same except that my celica has the stock 15" rims. So i wanna know if the Rims on the MATRIX XR will fit on the GT? Does the Tire specs have any thing to do with rim specs for the set up?

Again long story short. Will the MATRIX XR 16" rims fit on a 1995 CELICA GT?


(easy answer is just to swap them and see, but my dads kinda like, "its my car your not gonna be swaping stuff." so i just wanna know b4 i try and mess nething up on his car, considring its brand new.)

I don't see why not, if they are a 5 lug, which i think they are. >confused.gif>


EDIT: i don't think you could really mess up his car by taking the tires off... >wink.gif>

pretty sure it will fit because the matrix bolt pattern is 5X100 --> same goes for our celicas

but...why? my mom has a matrix, i got to say that i cant see those rims looking good on anthing other then that car.

First, he probally is all afraid im gonna get the tire off and drop it of the jack and **** up the brakes or the suspension when it lands on the ground.....wouldnt be too good would it?


And i kinda like the Matrix XR rims. The 16's are nice. I think they would look good on the Celica. Ill swap them this weekend after i get the car back from window tint. Then post Pictures!!!!

you just need to buy a poper jack stand. they are cheap and very safe.

I agree that 16's are nice, but idk about the Maritx wheels I <3 my wheels >smile.gif>

Something like that but they are the newer ones....i take it that they fit cuz u got it on your celica.

What year are those rims off of? And is it the XR or XRS?

agreed i do like them...but i dont like how small the rim looks, and how wide the side wall appears....XR's 16" would be nice or even the XRS's 17"......just check out the link...they look hot!

And im assuming there not gonna be as much as aftermarkets because u get them from toyota.....(dont assume, cuz u make an ass out of u and me.....i know this but im doing it neway)

Gonna get the XR rims or the Tc rims, idk about the Tc, the offset is different from the celicas. They look like they are sucked into the body. Idk but i need some prices, like for them new, and used. Both the XR and the Tc. oh and some racing tires wouldnt hurt.
