Nice! Are you painting it the same color?

New Toyota project coming soon...
looking good, nice job......um i have a question though, you know you should try to sand the same direction right? Just asking cause it looks like you just sanded......but your doing a good job I give credit to anyone who does the prep work.......r u gonna paint it? >biggrin.gif>
was going to paint it but, didn't have time to get compressor and gun. (work is hectic right now). hmm didn't know about same direction thing didn't read that any of the places i did some research, its still not perfect but i'll take it same direction for last sanding.

I'm painting it Toyota Super Red

nice that's gonna look really good (always been a sucker for red) >wink.gif> ......what grit are you going over the car with? And yeah you might want to try and keep the same direction.....other wise it could leave swirl marks on ya.......
400 grit

oh wow, you might want to go over it with a 600 or 800 after words it will make it a little more smooth >wink.gif>

If he goes with anything higher than 400, he can run into paint adhesion issues. Generally, everyone recommends sanding with 400 grit prior to painting.

ok...well I'm just going off my experience......every thing I've done so far has done great no probs.....but ok it's cool, I'm not saying you can't use 400 grit. I just normally use 600 grit......but you are right coomer, if you use i high grit it does have a tendancy to cause adhesion problems. The only time I normally use 800 is to smooth out the car with a light sanding after the original sanding. >biggrin.gif>
