Add the following info in the notes section when sending payment via paypal.

Forum Name:
Screen Name:
Vehicle:
Bulb Size:
Kelvin: eg.(6000K, 8000K, 10,000K)

since paypal takes 3% from your payment, please add 3% to your payment if you're using paypal to pay for your item. The total will come out to be $257.50. I know it costs $7.50 more, but paypal is the safest way to pay and if we don't do it this way, we get screwed out of over $200 that we were suppose to get. Hope this doesn't sound ridiculous to you guys. But we don't make any more profit by asking you guys to pay more, its just to compesate for paypal's terms.

ATTENTION: HERE IS THE LIST OF PPL WHO ARE READY TO PAY AND GET THEIR KITS:

1) (creis), (8000K),(9006), (Paypal) (PAID)

2) (DJspike), (8000K), 9006), paypal (PAID)

THIS GROUP BUY IS READY TO ROLL. HERE'S WHAT I NEED FROM YOU GUYS:

1) NAME, DESIRE TEMP (K), DESIRE SIZE (9006), AND HOW YOU WANT TO PAY

Okay guys, this is a really awesome deal. I talked to these guys who used to own an import shop near me, and they can get us an amazing deal on HID kits.

They can get you whatever kelvin you want from 6000K to 8000K or even higher (I think, I can ask if you want)
.
They can get it any size, H1, 9006, whatever......they can get it. Just let me know (state your size, and desire wattage)

The kit is an oem HID kit, made with the exact same technology as they make the Hella ballast. These are good kits, you see them everywhere and they wouldn't die on you if you keep it out of the rain and stuff.

There is a 1 year warrantee on this kit, as long as you DON'T retrofit it and cut it up and stuff, you won't void the warrantee. Just install it correctly and if something goes wrong within a year, you can get a replacement.

The price for the kit will be $250 shipped if I can get 25 or more ppl.

The best form of payment is C.O.D (cash on delivery). Most people prefer this method, because its pretty easy. The other is paypal, but you'll have to pay 3% extra since paypal takes 3% from your account for each transfer.

I will get pictures of the kits up if it seems like a lot of people are interested. If you're interested, just put down your name, bulb size, and desire wattage so I can see if this group buy is a GO or NO.

if these are true kits and work for our cars, im game
they are not true kits.. however very close to it. A true hid system would cost about 1-2K but that would also include entire assembly that would also rotate when you turn, go up and down when you are on a gradient terrain etc etc... this would be your best alternative.. its like putting a xenon lighbulb from high beam to your low and making it work... I would recommend it for a cheap alternative to hids..

I am not very familiar with what your definition of "HID" is, but as far as I know it......HID refers to "High Intensity Discharge" lights. I don't ever recall them having to move up and down depending on where you're going to be consider "true" HID system. These kits will come with 2 ballasts, HID bulbs, and wires to connect them up. For more information on HIDs, you can check out this helpful site ABOUT HIDS
*note: these are NOT the kits I am selling, this is just general info on HIDs*

The ballast of these kits are made by the exact same technology that they make the Hella ballast. I know that BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, and Audi all uses hella ballast in their car......so I am sure that these are good products.

I will get pics to you guys as soon as possible once I see people having more interest. Just right now, I barely see anyone interested, so I don't feel like going to take pictures of it if hardly anyone is asking any questions.

Yarik, wut your thinking of isn't HID but full retrofit kit. Even that won't cost 1-2k. O, and the rotate thing is a feature that only one or two auto manufacturers use so its a rare and super expensive thing.

So this is a true HID system by the way.

These aren't the cheap junk type is it?
pictures would be nice.

From what i remember hid lights need to warm up to get there full brightness. Do they fit our stock head lamp housing without melting them?
Okay, I see a good amount of interest. I will get pictures to you guys as soon as possible.

NO, THESE are not the cheap kinds that you see, these are real kits. Hopefully the pictures will speak for itself.

Anyways, the price will be $250 shipped as long as I get 25 people. I have several people on other forums interested also, so We don't need 25 people from just this forum.

Yes, these will fit our headlamps (just specify 9006), no melting needed, just plug and play. I have HIDs on my celica right now, I have a cheaper kit and its lasted me 3 years now(mine's the XD7 kit). Here is a picture of my kit on my car, just so you guys can understand what it'll look like.

(size: 9006 bulb on low beams kelvin: 8500K....main reason why its so purple, this is after warm up stage)

As long as you don't expose it to water and connect it correctly, they'll last very very long.

2) playr158
3) d3monc3lica
4) BBoYRuGGeD
5) pimped6gen

As far as I know, I haven't seen anyone putting HIDs on reflectors (that would be a waste of money). These plug into your headlamps, you can either get the 9006 size bulbs for your low beams (which is what most people do) or get the 9005 size bulbs for your high beam. If you have projectors, most likely you'll need the H1 size bulbs for the low beam, and I am not sure about what size is needed for the highs.

I called my guy and he says he can get 4500K if you really want it, but he'll have to go get them since he only stock 6000K as the lowest because its already bright enough.

The only company that I know that have 4300K is Phillips, and my cousin has that kit and its not all that great. Its on his 7th gen celica and he's had very bad luck with the kit itself. But the Phillips kit are very expensive, I would definately recommend you buying the kit in this group buy instead.

This kit would work for pretty much any car unless you have sealed beams for headlights.

I am suppose to get pictures around 9:00pm tonight, so hopefull I can get those up real soon.

thanx dude!!!! >biggrin.gif>

I know some people don't like to read, but it gets frustrating when everybody keep asking questions that have already been answered.

A word of advice. The higher the kelvin temperature, the less effective the light gets. It maybe "brighter" however the hue changes (purple/blue etc..) and thus in the water especially it gets harder to see. If you want the maximum visibility in all conditions, try ~5000K if not lower.

^very well said. At 4500K, thats when you get the most amount of visible light, and the most lighting possible. The reason you go up kelvins is because it looks better (in my opinion). I have 8500K on my car right now, although its not as bright as I want it to be, its still so much brighter than stock.

Flawless Fitment<>@rpm_w204
do you have any pictures of your beam pattern with HIDs installed? i heard that without specific lenses, HID beam patterns in non HID housings look odd and aren't proper. also, does anyone know how many kalvins companies like bmw and lexus use for their bulbs?

Well, in our headlight housing, the beam is scattered. But its scattered the same way our stock bulbs did, except much brighter and more lighting. I can get pictures of my 8500K, but that wouldn't speak much since 8500K doesn't have as much visible light as lower kelvin kits.

BMWs and Lexus normally have somewhere around 4500K, theirs look good because they have projectors. I had 6000K before, and it didn't look as good as 8500K. I like 8500K just for the looks of it. 6000K starts off blue and then it turns all white, so it just looks like I got some REALLY REALLY bright eurolite bulbs or something. I don't know, its all about preference.

If you're into looks, then definately go with higher kelvin kits. If you want more light power, then go with the lower kelvin kits. Overall, you CAN'T go wrong with any kind of HID kits.........THEY'RE a well worth-it investment.

I can promise you, after you have HIDs.....its hard to go back to regular, you'll never want to.

So far, I have 8 people in on this from this forum, and on another (smaller) forum, I have 2 more people. 3 people I know just backed out....So, I need to get more ppl's involvement.

Well, here's the update, we have 10 people so far. If we can tell more ppl about this deal, it'll be really awesome. So everybody can get theirs asap.

On the newcelica.org forum, they have the same group buy and it went really really well. A lot of ppl were happy, I can say that this will go really well too if we can let more ppl know about this deal.
