Topic #29661 9 posts Started by FSX_Celica94GT
why is it that i have never seen a celica w/ yellowing or hazing in the headlights? this is the only car i have seen that its headlights dont do this. why dont they?

It's not just about getting from point A to point B anymore....
i thought only plastic does that?

I'm not sure if thats true, I have seen a celica with yellow as urine headlight lenses
I dunno... unless something might be 'growing' on the inside of the glass, I'm pretty sure it shouldn't turn yellow. Maybe they had something over the lens' to give the light at night a yellow tint?

Ever see older Neon headlights? Cheap plastic that 'cataracts' so badly you can barely see through it. Glass headlights like the celica's on the other hand shouldn't do that. I'd have to assume that plastic is porus compared to glass which would make it absorb something that turns it hazy where as glass might not? I'm not really sure. Just a guess. >smile.gif>
use a product called plasticX from meguiers or whatever and it solves the problem.
I have a leak in my drivers side high beam, and its yellowed out because of it.
same here, i have the same leak in my drivers side high beam. my headlight is yellowed out too

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?
?? toyota still used glass headlight lenses? i thought they were all plastic or something now?
