I have a power supply that doesnt show how many watts it has, , in voltage though it says 115/230 12v does anyone know what that would be in watts?

Those are just the input voltages the PS can accept. Not enough information to determine the wattage of the unit. If you're not sure if you will have enough power to your rig, just buy a decent quality PS with enough capacity for you.

usuallyon the sticker on the ps tells you how many watts
some dont say but have it in there part numbers.

plug it in and try it out... if the system crashes under heavy gaming, youll know its not enough

make sure you check your voltages because you dont wanna be giving your computer dirty power.
for example
12+ should be between 11.500 to 12.500
12- should be between -11.500 to -12.500
5+ should be between 4.500 to 5.500
5- should be between -4.500 to -5.500

Just found out what i have, but thanks anyways guys, reason for asking is cuz i got a killer video card and i was wondering if my power supply could handle it.

A 400watt would be more than enough but most standard supplies today are 450watt.

Power = Current * Voltage

hook a voltmeter two the + and - prong of it in current mode...make sure you have it on the highest setting and work down.

If it does not say how much it is then I would assume its not a good PS (power supply,) brand wise. just get a new one off the net there pretty cheap rather then messing with an junky one.
