I was just wondering. I don't wanna feel like an idiot so can someone confirm for me that the little black gommets on the front bumper of peoples headlights are washers? I think it's kinda pointless but it looks like a cheap project that I would like to do because it's a nice little extra feature. Where can I get the parts to do this and how would this be wired? This is an additional pump, right? Thanks.
Headlight washers? - 6G Celicas Forums
the headlight washers are stock on the UK Celicas. There is a seperate pump and a seperate switch (on the lower dash under the streering wheel). From what I have read they tend to not work as well as they should (either gum up or pump doesn't work).
if you wanted to install some it would be easyish. Just get 4 washer nozzles, drill them into your bumper, run rubber tubing (probably 1/8 inch) spliced from the washer fluid line that goes to the normal nozzles.

You really think they'll shoot that far out? I'm guessing not because that's the reason there's a seperate pump for it. I could be wrong. Thanks.if you wanted to install some it would be easyish. the seperate pump was also for a seperate switch. There should be enough pressure to squirt them with the same pump. I believe the one pump also pumps the hatch squirter >

What if you were a rally car careening through muddy puddles while spraying spectators with mud and making your co-driver bounce around in his five point racing harness?
Then you'd probably need a scraper to get that junk off >

Try coating your headlights in Rain-X, the dirt just falls off...brilliant stuff, all my windows and lights are covered in it....havnt needed to use my wippers since i put the rain-x on. instantly displaces water and dirt and it just flies off the windscreen.

I have them on my car. Work very well too - keeps the lenses nice and clean so the lights stay bright. having projectors helps too >
