Saw that before and didn't give a second thought as to whether or not that that No. on the door referred to the actual # its was on the assembly line. Mine also has AT200L on it and its No. 317 with it being manufactured on 02/97.

what is it in the VIN itself that tells you if its auto or manual? or is it just something that comes up in the Toyota computer system? cause I went to the dealer asking about some shifter parts and when I gave them my VIN they asked why I needed it with an auto

I still haven't seen a limited made in 96, I am very curious about tomazws as his
# is between the 2 above. His should be in the first 100 made. Also unless some of these
went to other countries there were more than 3500 made. I would like to see some vins
from the aussy version to see if the are mixed in with ours. No one seems interested
in this, other than me and you. From a manufacturing standpoint all ST hatches should be
made in a series as well as other like types. From the verts I have seen, they seem to have
been made mid 96.
