theres 3 images, first being what it is normally, then with the middle section shaved, then with much of it shaved. which do you guys like the best?
I REALLY need more clearance, alot more. i originally just PSed the middle part shaved, but I'm sure i still need a hell of alot more shaving in order to get around.

middle shaved is nice, but i'd leave it original... thrid option is not very appealing IMO

leaving it original would make many a problems. i can barely get into parking lots unless i go sideways slowly(which is a pain because ill be holding up traffic) and also my parking space is in a gravel area with dips and whatnot everywhere, not to mention i might not even be able to get into it. even with just the middle part shaved, i think ill still have troubles getting around town.
I say leave it but I love the GIF.

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
the 3rd really doesnt look all that bad, kind of like it. plus, thats the only one that will let you get around easily.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
i'm just wondering if you went with option 3, since the bottom part will become so much thinner, would it crack more easily?

well the center part is actually reinforced with the stock bumper, so however strong the stock bumper is, is how strong the center part will be, and its also reinforced with ribs. as for the side parts... i think they should hold up. it would just as strong as the ss-III splitters i would think.
I really like the second option. Nice work with the GIF btw.

mm.. its getting kinda close. remember to vote and not just say whats the best choice!
I say leave it the way it is... I was worried too with mine but if you just take it easy its fine... and if that means hold up traffic.. oh well.. they have to wait on you... but I think the kit looks the best the way it is..

however if you ABSOLUTELY want to shave someting... I think the middle only looks pretty cool and would be a nice aggressive look.

i think i actually have to shave it. i live up in canada, and in this city, we get tons of snow in winter. if i leave it as is, i DEFINITELY cannot drive in the winter. i also don't think i can actually make it into my parking space at the university with this car either because its a gravel lot, and theres many dips and bumps. i think i will actually have to shave it like it is in the 3rd picture for winter because atleast then it wouldn't snag on the snow, or not as badly.
I would have to say the 3rd

I like the 3rd.. Its like your own version of splitters.. it would look very original and allow you to get around easier

IMO none of the shaving options is smooth enough. If I were you I would leave it and just get the suspension bit higher.
