Topic #28403 24 posts Started by nowitzon
ok i bought the tib cai off pro car parts anyone recommend gettin a a shield around the filtersince itll be sittin outside of the car

FOR 21 YEARS I DEALT WITH THE RAIN,ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT I COULD STOP THE PAIN,SO NOWITZON!!!
Outside the car?

Do you mean down in your wheel well/front bumper?

You might just want an AEM bypass valve so you dont suck any water up.. and make sure its mounted securely.

If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.
any modification needed for that install?

Where does the piping run??

wooot my find is finally catching on!!!!

except i have AEM >wink.gif>

but it comes out right under the battery inside the front fender.....
no you don't need a shield or anything you really don't even need a by-pass valve unless you totally submerge it...but its good insurance
^^ So a Tiburon (Coupe here in Europe) CAI will fit with a little modifcation, on the Celica.

Kewl

JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
hey playr can u post those pics again, yea i was gonna get the aem but its like almost 200 bucks... besisides they are the same thing the pcp one is just a copycat itll work fine.

Ebay has em for about $35 shipped....

I dont understand why we cant cut em a bit shorter so they dont actually pertrude through the wheelwell
cause goin through the wheel well is the COLD AIR.......the engine if you havn't noticed is pretty hot.........

copy cat = no k&n
AEM = K&n thats the cost difference
I guess but it seems retarted to have the filter pertruding through your wheelwell your just asking for problems.
no your not thats smart.....cold air = more HP

you'll have no issues with it...

i drive in the rain with no underbody plastics or wheel well plastics with it......i'm 100% a ok

even on the ST celica, you still have to "MODIFY"

the intake to TB isn't right you need to add an extension for the intake to meet TB
urbandork's how-to is very good for a GT CAI.
