he's got me thinking in a sense
since superchargers do the same job as a turbo by packing the air together in a new pressure environment, shouldn't compression be lower for S/C?
i was reading about some place planning to S/C a 11:1 comp car...
and i was wondering since if it may run cooler(no hot-side to cold-side transfer) if it can run higher compression.
I gotta admit i do love the WHIR of a S/C >

>(not that i'd reverse all the turbo just go to S/C

11:1 plus boost = race gas only car
tuning can make anything work, how long it lasts depends on how good the tune is and how the car is driven
my WRX is at 8:1 CR, when i build a motor for it, i will try to hit 8.5:1 CR to make for more off boost power
BTW, converting a turbo 4cyl into a SC 4cyl is not a good idea. just watch those new cobalt SS's. soon there will be kits to convert them to turbo.
i have never seen a kit that converts a turbo engine to a SC engine
