for that price range I think you should go with a quality set of springs, you will be getting a cheep set of coilovers for that price or a pretty decient set of springs.
Get Tein lowering springs. Quality stuff...clean looking drop too. See my profile, I have them installed.
awesome guys. Any other suggestions would be cool

I'd go with Tein Springs and KYB GR2 shocks/struts... good drop and nice ride!

i've heard that coilovers are only good if you get adjustable shocks as well and plan to adjust it for racing.... so depends on what you plan on doing..

Do the KYB Struts really make a difference? I've been driving on my stock ones for about 8 months now with no problems.

i had my teins on for about a year before my stock front struts blew. so now i think im going to splurge and get some SS coilovers >biggrin.gif>
i had left my stock struts in the front cuz i didn't realize that you can replace the shock cartridge... I had them in for like 4 or 5 days with the tein springs... when we pulled them to put the shocks in... they were blown...

so i would hesitate having lowered springs with stock shocks and struts..

So...how do you know if your shocks are blown? Probably a dumb question but I really don't know...
ride will be bouncy, and you might be able to hear them bottoming out, when you take a hard turn or hit a pothole. or just get out of the car, and push down the side the blown strut might be on, if it feels like theres nothing there, well theres probably nothing there.
chanh, get some bilsteins! if you like my ride when u drove it, its got bilsteins with sprint springs.
i was just wondering what you guys thought about the JDM lowering springs... there is a page on ebay with them, seem decent? Here is the 2.0 drop. and Here is the 4.0 drop? which is way too low, but its adjustable so yea. Im new to the whole modding thing, and ive only done a lil research on these, but i do know JDM is respectable.

just get these and be happy about it >wink.gif>
The other thing about the KYB is even their base GR-2 (OEM equivalent) maintain their warrenty with up to 1.5" of lowering. Higher end lines don't mind the lowering at all.
meaning they're made for that kind of lowering correct?
right
