Yeah the guy was a little too excited. Maybe they just decided to say it was an STi but since they couldn't catch up they couldn't find out for sure.

Probably a "regular" WRX, and not racing.. No way that was an STi.. I'm not sure on the Cobalt SS numbers, but an STi is about 240 bhp in US.. And 260 Euro/JDM.. The WRX is still 200+ bhp.

*sniff* *sniff*, i dont remember living by a farm..how come i smell bs? Cobalts arent fast what so ever. I test drove a SS, it was pretty quick, but wasnt fast. my buddy gets his bro's STI when he goes 2 Japan, he let me take it for a drive and wooooo. That subie in the vid was probably just a stocker and the retard in the cobalt was probably trying his hardest and pushin the sh*t right out of that ecotec

try 300hp for the STI and 227hp for the WRX

cobalt SS + 4 people = slow ass car

cobalt SS vs stock WRX = good race from a roll

cobalt SS vs STI = no contest

cobalt SS vs my "regular" WRX from a dig or a roll = all out slaughter

turbo + AWD + mods = no waiting

it wasn't a STI.... well. at least it doesn't.. might just be a wrx impreza turbo trim that's all.

Those Cobalt SSs can run a 14.5 with a good driver.

STIs run low 13s.

Why's everyone calling BS? For one thing, they weren't racing. The cobalt just pulled up behind the car with a video camera, and then the Subaru floored it and smoked him, which is what I would expect to happen. Look how slow the scenery is passing by, I highly doubt they even hit 85. I've driven past a ferrari on the interstate before but I will never claim I beat it in a race.

was it me or did i not see the cobalt come near the sti??? and its not a sti cause no one takes off that wing, its probly a 2.5rs

It's got to be just a regular WRX, the RS is way to slow a Cobalt SS would destroy one.

Yeah an SS could beat an RS with 4 people in it from a roll, a stop, or probably starting in second gear from a stop, the WRX and STi are awesome but the RS is just slow. I have seen wingless wonders before but either that was an STi that was probably in 5th or 6th, or a WRX which that would be fully believable, the SS is about as quick as a WRX but nothing more.
