I just got my car back from the paint shop, and i dont know if it was really dirty before or just the 7 years of wear and tear i had put on it, but it looks amazing!! I stuck with the factory red and im glad, because it is exactly the color i was looking for, just a bit darker than what i had. I think it was the layers of dirt that was covering the paint that made it lighter. But they did forget to paint my vert skirts, which sucks. So i have to go back later next month to get them done. But they got my splitters and extensions which im going to install tonight.

So im going to hold off posting any pictures until the Seattle meet tomorrow. That way Coomer can take some really nice pictures that my tiny digital cant do. It looks so nice i want to go to the window every other minute to look at it. But im late for work, so drooling will have to wait >smile.gif>

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
It was lighter becouse paint faded out in the sun. That is normal.

Anyway, congratulations.

Are you going to sand the skirts smooth before you paint them? I think it would make them look alot better if you go with the monocrome look.

Yeah, thats what i wanted the shop to do, but they took them off to paint the car and forgot to sand and paint them before putting them back on. It was their mistake, so i just have to bring it back and theyll do it.

I actually just put the splitters on and stepping back, the black vert skirts dont look half bad with the spiltters and exentions. But at night, it does look like nothing is there and thus the bottom looks uneven. Ill ask people at the meet tomorrow what they think, but im sure most will agree with you.

looks nice >smile.gif> , i need to have my car re-painted. stupid toyota red fades

Buy my Celica $2,500 -http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=76562&st=0
Every color is effected by UV lights. Red pigment goes first when being in contact with UV/sunlight. So it will fade over time.

JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
awesome pics!
