Well I was leaving work tonight and before I got out to my car, a friend stopped by that i hadn't seen in a while and was checking out my car and we were talking....

then a Red RX7 (97ish) pulls up and parks 2 isles down almost even with me... he cuts his lights but leaves his parking lights on... and remains in the car.

I joked with my friend that he was waiting on me to race or something but we thought nothing of it... about 10 mins go by and the RX7 pulls out and does a power slide as he turns to leave the parking lot! guess he was waiting on me... it was crazy

He could have just stopped to talk on the phone or something. I do that sometimes. If he knew anything about cars, I don't think he would have raced you. Everyone knows that Celica's are really slow, and a guy in an RX-7 would walk all over you. I guess he could have been wating though.

my guess is that he saw the body kit and lowered and figured i've done engine work and could give him a run for his money... perhaps when i get the 3gste engine swap i may keep up.

Yes, maybe. Unless he's modded. It's easier to mod a turbo rx-7 than a 3sgte. I'm not completely positive on that though. Could be even. Best of luck to you once you get the swap.

well i won't be doing a swap for a while... i'll probably do it when my engine dies... i'm really more into a show car than a performance car... but if i'm gonna have to replace the engine... i'll make an upgrade >>
