hey guys, because it's sooo how outside lately, the already noticable cracks in my leather seats are getting larger. I can't really afford to have new leather sewn in, is there anyway I can effectively stop the cracks from spreading?

my Prelude SE that I just sold had leather seats. I used ArmorAll leather conditioner (not the wipes) on the seats every few weeks and they stayed in really good shape. It's just a bottle, I think it was like $3.00. Put some on a damp rag and buff it into the leather (be careful on perforated leather, it'll clog up the holes and not let the leather breathe)

After you buff it in you can let it dry for a few minutes or buff the seats with another dry rag. Leaves them looking and feeling very soft and nice. I believe Meguirs has a similar product.

I have always used a leather conditioner, but the seats are so old that there are 2 big cracks right in the middle of the seat. I can see the foam of the seat through the cracks. Is there anything I can do to repair the exhisting damage with out replacing that section of leather?

I would say go to a sewing shop like JoAnne's or something, or maybe a hobby shop or hobby lobby and ask about a leather stitching kit so you can sew it up. it may not look pretty but at least it won't be ripped open. my dad bought a leather stitching kit a long time ago that came with different needles and threads for fixing shoes, i'm pretty sure the same could work and you could give the seats a basic hand stitching to keep the seams closed.

I had heard something about some type of liquid sealer, anyone heard of such a thing?

I never have heard of it for leather, but then again i never worried about my leather seats; both my cars that had leather stayed in excellent shape. i think it would be possible though and definitely worth looking into, probably easier lol

lots of lots and even more conditioner. not that clear spray protective stuff.. the white thick conditioner. On my bimmer every day i would do it for a lil while opn the big cracks and after about a month of doing it, they were almost perfect.
