Should also have added that this speed was done legally on an officially closed road >> May well have been able to go over 200km/h, but that was the max legal limit allowed under the FIA rules for the event I was competing in.

Ok this doesnt have to do with speed, but im not starting a whole new topic on this. Isn't the governor 135 MPH in our celica GT's|? And maybe lower in an ST??? And Kadett, whats the governor on a 3SGE? Obviously those with engine work most likely have a chip, so it is not governed.

Its not governed stock! So it will reach the top speed a 3S-GE 177 BHP will reach in a Celica. And thats about 142MPH/228KPH.

i dont think mine is governed... i think the guy who had it before me messed with the car alot and some how turned that off?? i dont know but i know for a fact that ive been 140 in my gt

every engine is governed.. if u take it out it wont pass inspection.. so yea every engine is goverened which means that ur dial dontt mean shyttt cause ur car unless moded isnt gonna hit 160

I've gone 120 once, coulda went faster with a bodykit and big wing

125mph when i had the ST . 120mph on the GT

and by the way not everybody has to pass inspection.
but the govoner is very easy to by pass. many companys make devices that simply splice into your speed sensor and tell the govoner that the car is only doing like 60 mph no matter what, tha APEXi RSM has it built in and you can adjust the speed you want it output.
