What is the newest model Supra? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #26478 10 posts Started by Illyont
I was under the impression that they stopped making Supras in 1998, Europe, Asia or America. Today I found a car that the seller told me was a 2000 model JDM Spec Supra RZ-S Twin Turbo..

Could this be possible? I was about to yell BS into his face, but held back and decided to ask around first before I say something that might not be true.

Anyone experts on Supras here?
i am fairly certain they continued making the supra in japan untill 2000. it was still a MK4, the japanese manufacturers tend to let their models run longer than in the states.

Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them allNo but I don't buy itLike anything you do, as anyone you areCause I'm...Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial
2002 was the last year of the JDM Supra, it came in SZ, RZ, and GZ trim.

Here are two pictures of the 2000 model Supra RZ Twin Turbo:

The following specs are listed:

2000 Supra RZ Twin Turbo
Gunmetal
6 spd.man
64,750 km + books
one owner
Grade R C
Full electrics
air con
air bags
factory alloys
TRD aero kit
Aftermarket CD/MD player

Price: 27 500$ US (+ taxes!!)

If they actually produced these until 2002 I should probably wait and save up even more cash to get a newer one. Unless the newer versions have less power or anything stupid like that.

Dark: What is the GZ twim? SZ = non turbo, RZ = twin turbo and GZ = ?? Or am I wrong?
Will it be right hand drive like in the picture or left hand drive >confused.gif> .

Since they stopped making the Supra in 98' (all other places than Japan, aparently) all Supras after 98' will have to be RHD (right hand drive). That's not a problem at all though, for me atleast.
