my 94 gt's frame underneath the fender is bent from a front end hit. you cant tell from looking at it but its bent. the fender bolts only align with the back area near the windshield. ive seen some pretty F*cked up cars driving around where i live cuz of some rednecks. the car drives and looks ok but will it pass the salvage-> clear stage? btw this is an old pic, it looks much better.

Your state lets you go from a salvage title to a clear title?

once a car has a salvage tittle doesn't matter for what reason it will always stay that way .. but that also means you can get away with doing more things to it... and looks kinda bad... but fixable by someone that knows that they are doing..

yea the crumple zone did its jobs.

there are ways to get a clean title back. But whats the point? It would be unfair to the future buyer.

I had to let the DMV look over my car after all the repaires before they let it go back on the road. They just do a quick look under the hood, and a lights check and i was set to go. But then agian, my car didnt have any frame damage.

My inspection to get a rebuilt title wasn't even really much of an inspection. All the guy did was look at my VIN number on the dash and door jamb and made sure the car had seats and glass and then I was done. It took him about 30 seconds and cost me $50.

Rebuilt/Salvage Title same thing. It really depends on how picky your state is about inspecting, mine I got a civic totally screwed with a salvage title fixed just the sheet metal then painted it and it got a clean title so it really just depends, friends at the DMV help alot too.

If your going to sell it weither or not it has a clean title I would say its been wrecked not to be rude about it. Me personaly I would keep it as a daily driver but dont modd it out or your looking for trouble.

only prob now is that the hood and bumper dont line up very good. its bc the hood is bent and the bumper support is bent too.

The alignment on the door doesnt look to good either mate ! Or is that just me ?? Tie it to a tree and reverse it hard - might straighten it out a bit ! Believe me i have done this before, but it involved two tractors and heavy chains !!!!!

i think it will pass, when i was down in ATL a few months ago i saw a guy with a S13 240 with the entire side bashed in..like from the door back to the wheel well. looks like he got hit by a transport truck and he was still runnin around like mad. I dunno, i think that a lil bend like that will pass if that guy was still runnin around

my inspection was real quick and all they did was check the vin and the motor (i blew my old motor and has a new one swaped in) maybe its because it was just the motor but any frame damage would have gone right though.

side note: when I blow the motor my car got a salvage title because the insurance totaled it (long story,) and now I have a clear title >>
