I've heard really bad things about those cars. Good luck with it though. Parts should be cheap, they put those engines in a lot of cars.

Where's your lebaron Freddy?!

My stupid know-nothing-about-cars friend bought one about a year and a half ago. The oil hadn't been changed for ~7,000 miles. And it sat for a year. He brought it over my house to have me do some body work. The next day the engine seized. What a dumbass. I never thought I'd have to tell him, "Changing your oil is important."

The turbo's were bad though. They'd overheat really easy. I don't even think they were intercooled. My g/f had one in high school. It was about 8 years old and was on its second engine. It was a cool car though.
Lebaron's were stricken with the Chrysler low quility bug that seemed to hit most of the pre-'99 Chrysler made vehicles, the mechanical quality always got a low rating. It wasn't just the Lebaron though; the Caravan, Sebring, Stratus, Neon, Caravelle, Spirit, Ram, Town and Country, and most others in the Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Jeep/Eagle (DSM ex.) line were bad for being cheap quility, either it was paint, engines, trannys, or just the A/C, it was usually something with most of them and it usually fell between '86-'99. BTW don't get me wrong you might have gotten a good one, I would consider a 360 swap myself though, but I like gluing people to the seat.

i had a change of mind. well i already sold it. a neighbor got it off of me for 1400. nice eh? i was reading all these reviews for domestic cars and some were really bad. i read some on japanese cars like our celica and there were hardly anything wrong. i think im sticking to foreign cars.
