Wow, looks great. Is that color close to real environment?

If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.
WOW, I LOVE YOUR GAUGES!!!...THE CLIMATE CONTROL TOO!!! are those just led's you put in, did you paint it? what did you do? i sooo want mine to turn out like yours- the only thing I would change is im not digging the red on the km/h...( just my .02c)... but WOW THOSE ARE WONDERFUL LOOKING!!
what do you mean? the coloring in the pic is how it looks in real life. my clock is "blue" but not as blue as the climate or gauges. my drivers window switch is a blue led. thats all i really have blue if thats what you mean by envornment.
same gauges i got, i put red 194s in instead of the leds
i dont have leds in the gauges which is why its so dim. do you have pics of what the red 194's look like?
that looks awesome, but the difference of the reds is too noticable in the middle. otherwise i think its really nice. anyone have pics of those gauges with blue LEDs?
nice Rocky!

which approach did you take for the climate control general illumination?
(paint the backs of the buttons?, solder in leds w/resistors?, something else?)

edit
oh never mind, just read your thread about it.
still, nice work!!

i might do what batman did since i have 2 hyper white bulbs laying around. the numbers for the odometer are just too dim.
my climate control top isnt as bright as yours...need to try something different
I meant as to whether or not the picture was real looking - or it looks diffferent in "real life," thats all

Good job I'm glad to see you finished it up.

DEF

I will return one day.
yeah, its about time i finished it up. mark, thats how it looks in real life. i didnt touch it up via paint or photoshop or anything like that if thats what you mean.

damn thats sexy!!! *buys one*
white blubs look good on those gauges too - need to take a night time pic for you guys
i had white bulbs in for about 5 months then switched them to my sidemarkers. went back to the store to buy more but all they had was blue. i liked the hyper white better but cant go back or else ill have blue sidemarkers >frown.gif>.
i'm actually thinking of taking the procarparts gauges off and either sticking with the white bulbs or going with some 194 6 led bulbs (blue) so that it'll be a bright blue not dull

i have a walkthrough (sort of) here:
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=25461

ignore the title. i ended up using only 3 LEDs. i intended on using 5. 4 for main board, and 1 for defrostor. defrostor was too hard to get the wiring going through without a lot of work, and i didnt think a 4th LED on the main board was necessary.
also you guys know the spots on the board where the bulbs screwed in are 12v have both power and ground. could solder right to the board instead of runnign wires

I got my guages off ebay...

that was with the brightness nob thing on the side all the way down...so everything looks dark. Since then i have added red bulbs to make the needles/odometer light up red...i think i spent like 10 bucks on mine.
