I'm pretty sure my transmission is going, 3rd and 4th gear are making horrible noises, 4th gear grinds, but when i'm in both gears they make like a noise as if someone is knocking on the metal underneath my car.. it's just awful. So i'm just wondering on prices or if anyone even has one for sale that works really well. Thanks guys!

mine did the same think about 2 months ago. 5th gear blew out..bad bad metal noise.
Bought a used tranny (manual) for gt 95- $350 (59K miles on it)
Install was $600.

Runs great now.

But man..$1000 down the tube..

Suprised to see another 95 manual tranny going down..

found out it wasn't my transmission. the idiots who installed my cv joints installed the drivers side axle improperly, so it's slipping out of my transmission now and i'm losing a LOT of trans. fluid. so i'm bringing it back there tomorrow to get it fixed up on warranty.

ouch.. why didn't your bf do it to save ya some money i mean that's what bf's are for right...

this isn't costing me any money, it's all covered under warranty
