The motor is built... and has been revving to 9K for the better part of 2 years... ;] He's been tweaking the ecu programs recently... but this was his most recent video. The car's best was a high 13 something something if I remember correctly... I'm still trying to convince him to setup ITBs... but he wants to do Cams first.

Those Honda motors are crazy.. The B16A (Civic Si engine) have redline at around 8 000 rpm. And my knowledge about those new engines like the K20A2 is very limited, but to my guessing they are not any worse than the old ones. And with a rebuild on top of this 9 000 rpm should be no major problem. The Civic Si can and have been rebuilt to a 10 second car by a company called modacar. Their Civic is pushing I think 700+ hp. still using the B18C5 (Integra Type-R engine).
I had actually bought one (99 Civic Coupe Si) from the US, but the seller suddently disapeared, and no car showed up. (I didn't pay in advance). Then I gave up and started looking at cars for sale localy, and ended up with my Celi (I'm glad I did cause the looks are soo much better.. Performance vise I should have waited for the Si though. 170 hp stock, much like our 99 Celi GTs (JDM)).
Oh well.
