JDM parts - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #25192 8 posts Started by Illyont
I just got back from my local Toyota dealership (they have my car in to replace some kind of small leak and to do a small 90 000 km service).

They found out that my clutch is like 2% left and should be replaced now, since they already have all my engine and tranny parts out of the car and disassembled all over their floor.

They also got me a list of JDM parts and prices >smile.gif> I'm paying (for brand new parts delivered to my door):

JDM tails (left and right): 270$
JDM lowbeams (left and right: 690$
JDM highbeams (left and right): 300$
GT4 rear spoiler blocks: 310$
GT4 rear strut brace: 90$

Now these prices aren't the best I have ever seen, but I don't think that they are bad either. What do you guys think? These prices are already included our insane 25% tax on all sales crap and delivery from Japan etc. They could also get all the other JDM parts, but I didn't ask at the time.

Time for some serious facelift sometime in the near future >wink.gif>
isnt some one selling blocks on the buy/sell section for 150 shipped

Well, I'm in Norway so toyota world will probably charge an arm and a leg for shipping alone. Those prices listed by me are delivered to my door here in Norway (of course since I'm using my local dealer). Ebay and US web shops will charge alot to ship all the way here.

Also, all those prices are brand new and original Toyota parts. Nothing bad about Doggys work, but I prefer genuine parts and Ebay is out of the question for me for some of the same reasons.

use a toyota 25% off coupon that can be used tomorrow, most dealerships accept other toyota coupons.

Considering I'm 20 years old and make 40 000$ a year I'll say that's not a problem >smile.gif> I prefer brand new and genuine.

My car is getting two color leather interior, bags (or some other kind of kick ass suspension, it depends on what I can register as street legal here in Norway) authentic Veilside CI-kit, some sort of CF hood (not decided yet), a new paint job later on, JDM tails and beams (low and high), maybe a GT-4 spoiler on blocks (not sure if I like my stock spoiler better yet though). Cold air intake, front and rear strut braces, performance exhaust, new clutch, lightened flywheel, new big bad brakes, some sort of audio/video dvd surround system built in the back with that plastic crap I can't remember the name of (like those "pro" guys), and probably something else that I have forgotten at the moment.

Veilside kit is already ordered from Japan and is on it's way (3 months wait :/ ). Next up is probably the JDM stuff, tinted windows and suspension. We'll see after that. My goal is not fancy neon colored big flames on the side of the car or 400 whp kill your self kinda car, but I'm probably swapping atleast a JDM GT-engine when time comes for those 170~ hp. My car is staying street legal and that means no 3S-GTE for me. Anyway, enough of my talk. This is getting bloated. I assure you that you guys are the first to know when something new comes up >smile.gif>
