we decided to not go through insurance and he would just pay me the money. its basically just 2 really long scratches on the rear bumper. this afternoon i went to my local auto body repair shop and they gave me an estimate of $275 to take off the bumper and repaint it, then put it back on. does this seem a little high?

i dont really feel like dicking this kid over and making him pay $275 for a scratch. i was wondering if it would be better to go and buy a new bumper or just get it painted at this place.

yeah that is a bit high dude. but also you gotta consider it being painted so thats an okay price. but do a little research, you can usually find a better deal.
