Curb Rash Repair - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #24877 5 posts Started by soven
I just bought a set of second hand stock 15s for my celica and I was wondering if anyone knows the paint on them.

I was reading up on
http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/wheel-r...cuff-repair.htm on curb rash
repairs and I would like to have a go at it. All I need to know is the paint that I would need to use on my Celica stock rims.

i would suggest some high heat duplicolor. But hey, if its your first time painting somethin like this, dont expect it to be your best work. And if you miss a spot, dont go over it and "patch" it up, wait for the coat to dry and do another lay until its all evened out.

To live, is to sufferTo survive, thats to find meaning, in the suffering....
just wanted you guys to crrect me but the color code for a silver 6g is 199 right?...or am i dead wrong bout this?
Any particular Duplicolor I could get because I would like to touchup instead of respraying the whole wheel.

The tutorial in the link above recommended Wurth Silver paint for all german painted wheels because thats the paint they use.
