what would be better performance wise? stock tubing with K&N cone filter where stock airbox is or stock airbox with non-performance filter with the collection box in the fender? cone filter will allow greater airflow while stock setup will allow cooler air. what route should i go until i get the cai piping sorted out?
EDIT: im not getting a drop in K&N because i am getting a free cone filter from my brother who is selling his car.

if your getting the cone for free just take out the box and put it on the end of the rubber tube that goes to your stock air filter. i saw someone that did that here i dont rember.
if your getting a cone for free just order 30$ pipe from jcwhitney and make it a cold air that goes from the throttle body to inside the fender where you would locate your filter
well my question was asking if the stock filter with colder air or the K&N cone filter with warmer air (since it will be sucking in air from the engine bay) will yeild better performance. i said i was going to get cai piping sooner or later. i just want to know what would work better in the meantime.
save your self the effort put the cone on the shelf....until you buy the 30$ pipe
A CAI will make a difference between the 2 but if its just short ram and stock box with new filter, the only real difference will be sound.
