Topic #24099 10 posts Started by nObOdy
Hey guys - I know i dont have a Celica - but im sure its kind of a universal thing -
My friend broke my glove box a while ago - and the little metal peice that held the glove box up broke - i was wondering if any of you would have any suggestions to get it to stay up - ive tried super glue - 5 min epoxy and nothing seems to be able to keep it up there for and extended period of time..
thanks a lot!

Are you talking about the stopper that keeps the glove box from coming all the way out? If it is just get a V spring from Lowe's or another car and bolt it in.

Yeah there's to much stress on that to glue it. Have you checked if rivits will hold it, or small screws. It looks like there are holes in it, if not drill some.
There is holes to drill - but no where to drill it into - but you've given me an idea - thanks ill create something that i can drill into and then i should be fine =)

i was just stuck on the glueing idea and your telling me no glue will really be able to handle holding that. thanks =)

Not really and even if you could find glue that would work one good tug would pull it loose, you don't have enough surface area for the glue to hold.
best glue is by far Gorilla Glue. Get it from Office depot. it will hold ANYTHING. and hot glue will melt and misshape during the day. Super glue will also work, but you gotta have it on a surface it can grab on to.

To live, is to sufferTo survive, thats to find meaning, in the suffering....
Gorilla is good stuff but he still wouldn't have enough surface area for any glue to work.
