My sister just backed her car into the Celica. Crushed the combat bumper a little. There are no holes in the fiberglass, but it cracked all the way through.

OUCH....... man.. ya sis didn't know your car was behind? that's some nasty crack but i think the body shop would be able to cover it and you'll just have to repaint the bumper and it'll look just like new.. but first.. get your sis to pay for the damage.

yeah thats an easy fix. do it yourself.
I plan on fixing it myself. I was thinking of drilling a bunch of holes around the area to be fixed and glass it all back together. Would that be the way to go? What do you suggest DMC?

remove the bumper

ok first is cutting the cracks out... using a rotory tools and a cutting disk cut as much of the crack out as possible...

next clean the area off as much as possible front and back...
lay about 2 strips of fiberglass sheets on the back of it, dont use one big piece use (i count) 7 strips with 7 slightly bigger strips on top of that... let dry

now using angel hair (make sure you wear gloves, cut the sheets into very small fibers) and mix it with the resin and fill in the front sparingly... overlay with seran wrap and smoothen out making sure that you as many air bubbles out as possible... let dry

sand smooth

using bomdo fill in the imperfections and sand down... repeat this step as necessary
