Intake plug???? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #23312 10 posts Started by FSX_Celica94GT
I just recently installed a cold air intake on my GT (works great by the way), and when i was taking out my air box, i noticed there was a plug that went into the back of it, but i could never figure out what it was, and ever since my "check engine" light has been on. Does anybody know what it is? Is it important? How do I make my light go off?

It's not just about getting from point A to point B anymore....

that is a sensor that goes into the pipe of the intake... put it in!!
No, i took out the airbox because the intake wouldnt fit, and the new intake doesnt have anywhere to plug it into

ok, i fixed it, the plugin just pops out, so i took it out and plugged it in and now the light doesnt come on anymore.

good
Its a intake temp sensor. Your stock airbox has a rubber grommet where this plug went in. Take it out and drill that same size of hole into your pipe. Put the grommet in and plug it in there. You need this sensor.
