Got my projectors in! - 6G Celicas Forums

Just ranting I guess. The install took upwards of an hour, but we had to fix some minor body damage in the process. Just for informational purposes and a better chance of people finding info IF they search for it - it's a very straightforward installation. Buy some 3-prong headlight harnesses from Advance (about 10 bucks, they are made for the H4 bulbs), and pull out the connector and wire that isn't going to be used. Take off the front bumper, remove your factory headlights, and then do the harness swap. It makes it much easier to work with the wires while the headlights are out. Make sure to tape everything up so that the wires are well-insulated and protected from water or anything else that may be harmful. Now you can stick in the projectors, plug them up, and you're done. I would guess that this install on a Celica with no body damage wouldn't take any more than 20 min. with 2 people, and maybe 30 min. if you're on your own.

I didn't get the accent lights hooked up. I called Mike @ ToyotaWorld and he hooked me up with some harnesses for 194 bulbs. If you need them, just get the harness for the sidemarker bulbs, it's the same.

Also, if you don't like the clear accent lights, you may want to go ahead and install different colored ones to your liking. The accent lights are EXTREMLY difficult to remove once the headlights are installed.

But yeah, the projectors are banging. Sorry for no pics, my digicam is a real piece.
good stuff man, but u know u can't post this without any pics (find a camera)

haha. congrats.

I should be getting mine next week. Whats advance auto, we don't have any out here. Is it like autozone, checkers, pep boys or online. I want to have all the parts
I need.
nice story but no pics, you wasted my time, lol j/k good job, I wish I could get projectors but I have my headlights blacked out so it would pretty much useless for me, hehe. Anywho, get pics up soon

I'll do what I can on some pics. I'm not really in the market for a new digicam right now. This Kodak is a huge piece of junk. Maybe it will respond to a good smashing from a hammer, or being thrown against a wall. Again, sorry for no pics, I know that's a big >thumbsdown.gif>

why there is no difference in left or right except the way the light is directed. u can get it about 95% efficient just by adjusting with screws. or u can use the little how to doggy posted a while back to mod your projectors for lhd use.

there was a topic before on how to modify rhd projectors so the angle is closer to lhd. anyone got the link so I don't have to spend 10 minutes searching for it?
