a friend summed it up to me pretty good once..... if you hit someone from behind, 99% of the time its your fault. i'm sorry to hear it man, it really sucks... i smashed my celica about a year ago this time... cost me about $1000 to fix, and thats without airbags or paint lol...

And yes most of the time when you hit someone from behind its your fault, but it is also breaking a law to be "parked" in the middle of a road or freeway, and also going too slow is also an offense, this is why there are emergency or breakdown lanes, and you will most likely always have enough power to pull to the side if something go's wrong with your car, especially on a freeway.

Moral of the story is to have full coverage, its a bit more per year but worth it when this stuff hapens.

Also, one thread on the same topis is plenty. You are also posting the same thing in both threads... that is a no no.

Just 2 days ago, someone at a red light was waiting. It turned green- she started going in REVERSE! I couldnt believe it. I was like 6 cars behind and nobody was moving. I switched lanes and saw this a** was going reverse in a major 4 lane highway..I dont know if she/he ended up backing into someone..ridiculous how people drive.

And I do agree with you that if you park your car on a major highway- that person should deserve to get hit and be responsible for others hitting them. Unfortanetly, the law aint like that..
