Allow myself to introduce ....... myself.

Just wanted to say I have been a frequent visitor of this forum for awhile now. I was just too lazy to make a profile (Plus I really didn't have any money to fund any mods that I can post about). Anyways, I have been keeping up with the good times and lately the rough times. It seems like a lot of people are just deciding to leave the forum and I am sorry to read that. I will say this though:

I have seen/visited/joined several celica forums in my time and I must say, this is the best I have seen yet. So I guess my thanks goes out to Coomer. Great Job! It would be a sin if this board goes away. I have gotten so much info/advice from reading everyones post than I have in any forum. And yes, I understand the veterans get tired&bored of us newbies asking the same questions over and over. But yall seem to tolerate most of it. Just keep linking us to the old posts guys.... please.

Oh, that mess... Interesting story. Well I made my usual trip to the junk yard and stumbled upon a 94-95 black Celica GT. The entire interior had a film of dirt/dust over it. So I figure water damage. Anyways I was about leave when I saw the most beautiful sight I have ever seen in this mangled beauty! A stock 8-speaker premium sound system!!!!! The dash was taken out so my bro and I went to town. Our first atempt we got the tweeters(perfect condition) the mids(they were pretty much done) and their respective covers. Here's where the forum comes in... turns out after lookin through the board, the 8 Spkr Premo System has 2-Stock amps!!! So we went back got the amps (and their mounting brackets). Took us the whole day to figure out how much of the wiring harness to take. Long story- longer with the help of my bad ass brother I have the 8 Spkr Premo System. COST: $60.00 (not including the Metra harness, which I found out about
where...?.... you guessed it.)

PS: About the film of dirt. Turns out it covered the ENTIRE circuit boards of BOTH amps. I thought I was out $60.00. But with a little rubing alcohol, alot of Q-tips, tooth picks, and love an care... everything works AWSUME!!!!!!

PSS: Went back the next day and found the front OEM strut bar in the SAME Celica! COST: $35.00 (Not too bad, I thought).

Well the stock (optional) Premium sound system comes 2 mids(front), 2 front speakers, and 2 rear speakers, and 2 front tweeters. I guess I was counting the tweeters as speakers… not sure if I used the correct terms.

Your right UTSlickVick, some celicas came with 8 speakers... 2 tweeters, 2 mids, 2 8" subs, all in the front... then 2 speakers in the back.
