wow...impressive.... but currently, i installed a breather filter on the crankcase vent. so i should take that out? where did you connect the other end of the tube to? the PCV valve?

The PCV Valve and Crankcase vent are both ran to the catch can, and then to the intake piping before the turbo...as presure2 said (too fast damnit).

The breather is fine on a NA setup...but once you go turbo. This PCV system would work best.

Would i be ok jsut running the turbo and none of the ignitions and timing stuff? I ask because if im ok running boost then ill just run it and then add on electronics later.

You should be fine without purchasing additional MSD equipment.

But since you have OBDI and can adjust your timing manualy, I'd still do that to prevent knock
not really, i wouldnt wanna try it. the one thing i see everyone do is say they want a budget setup, as cheap as possible...one thing you gotta remember, these engines are not made for boost, so if you expect it to last at all, you gotta put some money into it. electronics are just part of the equasion.before you install any of this stuff on your car, you really need to research this stuff. theres alot of information out there, www.celicatech.com www.mr2oc.com read up on all the websites...check peoples profiles, check out theyre setups,...ect..
heres a couple good links to get you started.

just remember everyones setup is a little diffrent in some way, its up to you to decide how you want to do yours.
ohh, and IMHO the BTM at the minimum should be mandantory. we really need to take a good look at that. from what ive read, the factory toyota ignition maps are pretty aggressive to start with, and with a unit like the SAFC that advances timing as you take out fuel, thats not good. >wink.gif>

that's some really good links presure2. it's even got pics of installation. hope i'll be able to do one of these when i get all parts in. or at least take lots of pics of the installation process. >biggrin.gif> btw.. i thought of getting the APEXI S-AFC and the Electronic Boost controller, although i have a manual boost controller now. so what i thought of getting is installing the MSD BTM and the S-AFC. is that good?

The boost bug is the reason your asking all these questions. >wink.gif>

ohhhhhh..... >biggrin.gif> hopefully with all this i'll be able to come up with a complete what to buy list and start getting the parts.

1) FMIC
2) MSD BTM
3) S-AFC
4) Oil Feed Lines
5) PCV System
6) Probably pistons if these are the wrong ones.

Just so i know from a technical stand point. What can/will happen if a msd btm is not used. Also what exactly does it stand for?
boost timing master. it retards timing with the amount of boost you run.

It does this by telling the ecu somethign other then whats happening right?

Is there a good conversion to how much you need to retard timming in corelation with how much boost ur running?

and what would/will happen if i run boost with out it.

I think its 3/4 of a degree per 1lb of boost.

You need to retard your timing so that you dont reach detonation to early.

i've got the part number of the injector here.
it says denso on the side and the part number is 23250-46050. is that all you need pressure2? btw, do i have a downpipe guys? or would i have to get one? i thought of getting the HKS SSQV BOV.... would modifcations be needed to get one to fit or is it universal?

Turbo install made possible thanks toTeamJ.D.M.officially 5SFTE junior member~*MuH NeW RiDe*~
yea, those #'s dont match the injectors i have here in front of me. mine are 23250-70080
i didnt see a downpipe in your pics. your gonna need some type of DP wether its the stock elbow and cat, or an aftermarket DP, is up to you. >wink.gif>
for any BOV you need to get a flange for that BOV welded to your intercooler piping.if you search on ebay you can usually find the universal HKS SSQV, and the flange for it in a seperate auction.
