you guys need to start posting your racing experiances

i would love to but other then one race with my cousin i have no in my celica

ok, my first race was against a friend's 99 civic ex. the story goes we were on a 2 lane highway at about 3 in the morning. The race was between a stop light and a bridge, probably just shy of 1/2 a mile. When the light turned green I quickly jumped off the line taking him through 1st and 2nd, as I reached a speed of about 50, I went into third. At that time his single overhead cam vtec was in its prime and he began to gain on me. I entered 4th gear a little early, but I figured everthing would be fine, but then he started pulling along side of me, ever so slowly. I felt angry, and at about 85 he was a few cars ahead. At about 90 I slipped it into 5th and began gaining on him. Foot by foot, I reclaimed my win and mere inches before passing under the bridge and winning the race, the honda was mostly stock, intake and exhaust. He almost had me, it was hairy. is that a good war story?

I was waiting at an intersecting when this cavalier z24 bulled up and started to reve. the light turned green and we took off. it was close off the line but I had him beat I went in to 2nd and kept on pulling but when I was in third he started to pull closer. so I went in to 4th and pulled even more we were going about 85 and then I went into 5th and blew him away when I hit 100.

and then at 115, your car died and he flew past, right? >>

btw, you are talking about the speed limiter right?

the fastest i will every go in my car is 110 i dont want to screw my engine up by going faster then that
