st-202 curren - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #21678 5 posts Started by 4wheelWOnder
I was looking in a junkyard today, for a celica, and came across this curren with a 3sge engine........so at first i was like yes, i found an engine for my car. But then i noticed the chassis ,st-202, and began to wonder when the curren was actually made. The st206 -208 models were obviously made in 1994 and up, but what about this st202............anyone got any info??
here *cough* it's on the homepage.

thanks but, it only restates what i said, plus it dosent help, with the st202 deal.........in other words this website says nothing about it........
94-98 buddy... Currens started production in feb. of 94 and went through to june of 98... The 202 was available throughout, and the 98's are ultra rare in 3S-GE guise (oem white rims identify)...

edit- now I see your point... I was thinking the 3s-ge powerd cars when i read 202 because thats a CELICA chassis code... As far as Im aware currens were 206, 207, and 208... celicas being 202, 203, and 205... in celica lingo the 202's are NA cars, 203's have 4WS, and the 205 is the GT-Four. As far as i KNOW, Curren goes 206 for 3S motors, 207 for 4WS, and 208 for the 4S-FE engine...

thanks but that dosent answer anything forreal...........this 202 i saw, had a 3sge engine..........what im asking is.......when did toyota manufacture these (because they obviously wouldnt make a 206-202-207-208) and why . I have my thoughts about it now, but............and oh yeah, the 206's and the 208's either come in 3sge or 3sfe.
