my car drives fine 1st through 4th gear..... but when i was on the highway i put it into 5th gear and while applying near to no gas it was at 5500rpm....... i dont know, i have only had this car for less than 30 days, i dont think this should be happening. and if my clutch is done, does anyone know any performance clutch parts.
thanks

kyle

I don't like your title, change it

The most important lesson I learned from Karate-Dô Kyôshan–“You can not be what you do not believe you are”
Your cars fine, its just the gearing. If your clutch is fine in the lower gears that have more torque then its fine. If its slipping thene you'd know, it RPMs get high and the car doesnt get any faster.

my dad helped me out, but thanks!

it's alright, i take offence to it, but, i would never get crazy like some people would. So, i didn't want to say anything stupid in the message but change it. Thanks Mynzeyes

What did your dad happen to say?

next time put it into 5th gear not 3rd, hahhahaha
HAHA, we've all done it before. I've been runnin high rpm's in 3rd, and went to throw it in 4th, accidently sticking it in 2nd. I bet you can imagine how it felt to have my face planted into my lap

So if you apply gas it still accelerates right? You might accidentally be going into 3rd gear but it might not be your fault. Your cables may be sticking and only going a certain amount of the way when you try to throw it over to 5th gear. Lube them up or buy some new ones and see what happens.
how do ur cables stick and what exactlyl do you lube?

nope it was definatley my fault, my dad drove it and was like...... and what did u say was wrong with it? i was shot down
dont you love it when they do that to you?

Ahahhahhah I was reading this and just thinkgin....umm thats not a clutch problem...i think this guy doesnt know how to drive stick ahahaha.
kyle, i think you are used to automatic cars with overdrive. a sticks rpms will rise the faster you go.
