??
did anyone else have a plastic?
i dont remember one...
yeah i did, but i just had to work it with a screwdriver for a little bit. takes a while but you'll get it.
i dont think i had any plastic, i know it only took like 5 min to get the wing off too.
ok its not plastic its RUBBER thats why its soft.......

go get sum goof off or gunk remover get a cloth and a hair drier
use the hair dryer
to get teh rubber of then the gunk remover to get the residue off

Since the topic is around, is the wing bolted on or stuck with the rubber stuff you are referring to?
all wings are bolted

for the 3 post 2 on each side
one in the middle
pull hard after unbolting

then
heat, peel, rub with solvent
ok cool i just got it off a little while ago thanx a lot guys... the peace i was referring to was this white plastic peace but i got it off thanx... now im plannin on how am i gonna get rid of these nasty holes on the hatch.
I hope this picture helps: its from my 1995 Celica:

nice job jaws4god you should go out and buy some metalic silver to paint the screws you filled in where the holes were.

there are two hard plastic peices that sit in holes, one on each side. i had them when i took my spoiler off. if you dont know what you are talking about then dont start. and to take it off a few posts up had it right... just work it with a screwdriver a little, it will come out with enough elbow grease

I would say get a lil bondo, and then fill in, sand down nice and smooth, then get some touch up paint.

Thank You for the comments >smile.gif> I actually had removed my aluminum wing because it was denting my trunk. I took it to a shop where they reformed the trunk and fixed the holes. I then added a Shogun Z style wing where the stock wing was.

dont you need a backing or something if you want to fill the holes with bondo.. I would think that if you clam your trunk the bondo would start to crack.

I wanted a tall one so that i could see under it in my rear view mirror. The stock one got on my nerves because it looked like a car was behind me whenever i looked.
