got rid of 2.5" of wheel well space in the front and 3" in the back.

(pic below is before and after, with 2" drop cuz i don't want to scrape)


i took more pics but theyre not that very good (stupid digital camera)

u guys might think its a lil ghey, but i got it off of ebay for 90 bucks. it's not a famous brand (Super High Technology???)the dude lived in diamond bar so i just picked it up. when i just had the back ones on it was bouncy as hell but for some reason when i put the front ones on, its not so bad. my shocks are stock. here's a pic of one



i only have it at 2.5 in the front (3 in the back) and notice how im screwed going up my own driveway....... >>

I had those exact same coilovers on my car, and I could not stand the bounciness. On my struts it was so bouncy that it was dangerous, and I would bottom out all the time, but maybe it was just my old stock struts that were causing it.

I know Jared has the same coilovers and he likes them more than his Weapon-Rs, so maybe I just had bad, dying struts. >>

By the way, your car looks awesome with that drop. When do you plan to get the rest of the kit?

its all good >> it turned out to be a very easy to do, even tho i asked john over a million questions bout the damn rubber rings that i never used >> , lol. the front and back were both easy for me, even though the bolts needed some encouragement from mr. wd-40. the only hard part for me was grinding the strut assembly. i went through 4 dremel sandstone thingies cuz i pressed too hard and they flew off. now that i see how low it is, i am seriously afraid of getting sideskirts cuz i honestly don't think i can clear my driveway. i will take more pics tommorow of the middle of the car sitting right on the slope.

I say go ahead and get the side skirts.
Whenever you need to leave you can always jack your coilovers up and go down your driveway, then lower them once you hit the street and viceaversa.

Sometimes I wonder....if a car is super dropped that has a flat tire on the side of the highway, how the hell do they jack their car up and replace the spare? There is no way you can fit your hands throught the fenders to adjust the height and there is no way it can climb up a stub to get that extra height below! Can someone explain this to me?

I think that's when you call road-side assistance and make them do it, or invest in a really thin jack that can fit under your car!

Do you have some coilovers? Cause if you did you would know that there is more involoved that just raising and lowering the coilovers. It is almost imposible to get up in the wheel well when it is lowered. Also you need to jack the car up to take the weight off of the coilovers so that you can adjust them. Next time dude when you make a coment make sure you knwo what your talking about. Forkee Looks good. I know your troubles with the coilovers. I got the same ones that you got. Im thinking of going to some springs because of the sever bounce that they have and I want to work on teh supsension next.

As for the coilovers, i don't know what it takes to change them cause NO i don't have them. I can only go off the bad info that is on this site and pass it on, so don't get mad at me if i fuk up. Yesh!

actually it is pretty easy to change the height. >> i have a hydraulic lift and it takes like 2-3 minutes to lift the front (i would never need to change the back), spin the lil things on the coilover sleeve and set it back down. >>

when you turn your steering wheel, does those coilover make like a loud sound? i have the same ones you have and whenever i just turn my steering wheel, theres like this clingy noise. anyone know wutsup??

nope! no sound at all. in fact its like i never did anything to it in the first place. >> the front does not bounce at all, if anything, the back bounces, but overall its not really noticeable cept that its lower (YAY!) >>

This used to happen to me when I had the coilovers, and apparently it happened to John with his Ground Controls as well initially. John put some grease on his though, and he said it fixed the problem. Though he has Ground Controls, I'd imagine that putting grease on there would have the same effect and would probably get rid of a lot of the noises.
