Plugs, plug wires & header - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #1978 7 posts Started by Delta_Phoenix
I was going to go for the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs and the Magnecor KV85 wires. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Also, would it be difficult to find an extension to go on the Arospeed header, or would that be a simple task for the local muffler shop?
I would go with Stock plugs. Platinum hinders performance, and Irridium are mediocre at best. Plus, with them you run the risk of F-ing up your pistons. TRD makes plugs that might fit our cars though. Go to the TRDUSA.com web page and go to TRD japan from there and check. And any muffler shop cna make that extension.
wit the platinum +4, I've noticed smoother shifting and very less jerking.
I agree. I have bosch platinum +4 plugs and the bosch wires. My car shifts less jerky and the accel in much better
The best thing to do, if your ecu allows is to change to Nology silver plugs.

It has a wide heat range.

Platinum is not a good conductor of current. But bery durable at high temperature.

Iridiun is a better conductor than platinum, but also able to sustain a high temperature in nos and turbocharge cars running extreme boost.

Because of you engine, I would recommend Nology Silverstone Spark Plugs.

For plug wire, you also hace Nology Hotwires. Very good.

Check out HP Racing, Ractive, and a few other for a header. Also, HP Racing can produce headers on specs. Just send your old one.

If you have a7AFE, I am not sure if the 4age header would fit it. If so, you can get a header from HP Racing for the 4AGE to fit the 7AFE. If not, check out Turbomagazine website for the header manufacture that is well know for producing very good headers.

I do not have the time now, but I will try to look for that info tonight and send it to you?

i reccommend ngk v cheap a$$ hell and better conductivity than platinum
or go iridium

never mess with platinum they just last longer than copper plugs
unless your doing some serious mods to your engine, theres no need for the magnacor's...i mean yea they do look sweet and all, but theyre not gonna help any...i'd say just get the oem denso's..wire's, cap, rotor, the whole bit...whatever you do DO NOT buy ngk wires...they fall apart, and ill leave it at that.. (bad experience..lol) trust me the stockers look skimpy, but unless your showing, or racing your car you dont need more.. >biggrin.gif>
