Anyone know how many 6gens were imported to the US? I know the car is rare cause I dont see many around but how rare? Anyone got any Numbers?

Thanks,

im not sure but i think the 94-97 models were in good numbers here in the US. only the 98-99 models were the ones that was what u could call rare. im pretty sure thats what i read somewhere.

..(formerly daily driven) 3S-GTE powered celica currently set @ 12psi..
Its pritty rare seening them on the road, I only see a few here and there, and always with some old lady driving.

I cant imagine why there not that popular there good cars, the will last a long time befor any major problems and get good milage etc. hmm, make ya wonder why.
The answer for that is easy (when youre livin in the netherlands)
The prices for a car are extremely high in comparisson to other country's. If you buy a celica 1996 GT (70.000miles)version in america it will cost around 7500 dollar(?) in germany you will pay for the same car around 9500 euro. in the netherlands you have to pay for that car: 13500 euro! that is 17.000 dollar!

so, for that amount of money people are choosing other cars instead of a sporty car.

Unsure the numbers and slap me if I'm wrong...

The 6th generation Celica was the least produced Celica in the United States compared to the other models. Please put that into ratio people, because the 6th generation was the second longest generation as well. For the length of the generation (6 years) compared to Toyotas average 4 year generation, the 6th Gen is very rare. This is why its very hard to find aftermarket parts for the 6th gen, but a dime a dozen for the 7th. Also, the justifies why a 97 GT and a 00 GTS will go for about the same price.

in the uk a gt 96 will cost 4000-5000,and a import will cost about 6000,gt is a common car here ,alot rarer than mr2 and preludes, but you see one 1nce a week,no modded ones though and jap spec are comin in all the time
Then we should be getting a hell of a lot more for them then what they are worth!.....hahahah
someone needs to find the list of the year production. That's a lot more interesting
