So I'm driving home from the gym just now and I go to flip the little switch on the rear view mirror and it snapped. A little piece of the plastic broke off and went flying. So now, the mirror only stays only in the nighttime mode if I hold it forward in the regular, it works, but as soon as I let go, it flops back to the dark. Any idea on how to fix it?

dude, u shouldn't have done it after gym u just don't know your strength. o i feel stupid but wuts night time mode and day time mode.

Yeah that's it for sure. The mode thing, is just the amount of light it reflects.

I have the problem too, car was like that when i bought it. Its a cheap piece of japanses plastic that broke and looks like the previous owner tried to glue it. I just picked one up at a junk yard for 10 bucks.
dude if u adjust ur mirror down or up i can get it "out" of refelction, cause all that switch does is move it up or down
my rearview mirror rattles alot, wonder if theres a way to tighten it or somethin... and I got a mirror off of ebay and it ended up being worse than the mirror I had, heh

Right, but since that plastic piece cracked, the mirror is really loose and rattles more with bumps in the road or bumps in the music.

yeah mine is too, the thing you flip is broke....so i have to adjust it all the time. maybe its just a defect with the older Celica's

My mirror is screwed up too. like the tab isnt broken , and i dont remember when it happend, but it wont flip and stay in a postion and all ways kinda shakes up and down.. it sucks.. cause my stupid susepsion and subs make it alwasy move.
