A car you will do up later in life - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #19149 56 posts Started by SlowCelica94
After college, my plan is to keep the Celica and drop in a Blacktop 20V 4AGE. Coomer is my inspiration.

A Jaws4God Creation...
This or I also am looking at trying to get a 90-03 All-trac. Problem is the supra i will do around 5K on engine work and the all-trac will be kept all original and not driven much.
i meant price for the car >smile.gif>
43,000-16,000=27,000
i think 27,000 is enough to get me safely in the 400hp area, and have my suspension and downforce...BANGIN! >tongue.gif>

SS, any input on this?

well when you compare a $43,000 M3 and a $16,000 tC...that's where the $ comes from >wink.gif>

someone post a link to the tC Formula 1 car-thing with the massive downforce front spoiler...

nice choice but isnt that the wrong porsche photo >confused.gif>

Car #3: 98 Accord LX- purchased 5/06, totaled 8/06Car #2: 95 Celica GT- purchased 8/03, current daily driverCar #1: 01 Focus ZX3- purchased 5/01, sold 8/03
that wasn't my link, gotta ask The Man
the latest gen m3 with a csl bodykit and supercharged...

once i find work with a good firm she'll be the daily driver >biggrin.gif>
right now i just wanna fix up my celi and make it a good daily driver car, maybe with a safe little boost with 6 psi... and some performance internals so it'll be more reliable but other than that, im no car junky.

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
I could list a whole bunch of cars that I could easaly see myself having and fixing up, but i just cant see where the money would come from for it.

In truth: I'll have my celica till the motor falls out with like 300k miles on it, then I'll take the money i would have spent on a new car and get a newer better motor and run it for anouther 300k. By the time I turn 50 it will be a one of a kind classic, and I'll be the only one left viewing this site from some arcive server wondering what ever happen to all you guys, and if you ever got your dream cars.

PS: I will turn 50 in 2035, and a 94 celica will be as classic as this car is now

93-95 FD, id love to buy one now but i dont have a place to store it when it goes down >mad.gif> I dunno if my parents move out to WV then they are getting a 4 car garage and ill be ok to buy it. A 2jz swap on it would be sweet but im no fan of the LS1.

Plan on buying a 85-87 rolla here in the next weeks and doing a 4a swap on the SR5.

The Tc looks badass with the new kit they made i would be down for that with teh Toyota supercharger.

Other then that I have no clue. Im not set on any of those cars, my plans for an FD could change after a year so we will see.

OK AFTER SEEING THAT 533HP TC THAT THING LOOKS DELICOUS, I THINK ILL HAVE THAT. just with like 300hp on the supercharger

hows it taste motha f*cka
As i am getting a bit older and with the restrictions and custom duties in my country, my next car will be a JDM IS200 (Toyota Altezza) dual VVTi with 210bhp rwd. I cant wait for the new IS 200 model.
NOntheless it has to be a Toyota/Lexus.
over here in US new IS might have v6...that same for you? or just a newer 3S?
importing a 99 toyota celica st-205 wrc i dont care about making it legal i just use it as a track car >wink.gif>

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
Also going the RX-7 Route. Only I will be swapping a Turbo Bridgeport 13B into a second gen. I've been looking into the LS1 route and saw that it is quite possible but I love the rotary engines ability to rev up to high heaven and stay there.
I think I would like to get a salvaged supra. That would be the only way I could get one. I don't know if I would want the 2jz engine though...I've seen the 3s-gte put in and beefed up...i dunno. Too many choices on cars.

CLOSED on 25 acres!-shop coming soon....
welll later in life a care that i will get and do up is a 99 audi A4 1.8T

simply cause i had it once before and i loved that car...

My mom is coaxing me into getting this new job...40 hrs a week with 9 dollars an hour and profit sharing. That would be good for me cuz I'm only 18 and make 5.90 with like 21 hours a week right now. With that money, I'd mod the crap out of the Celica or sell it and buy something else. I want a real sports car. Or a luxury Sedan with some nice rims, and some ICE. My love for my Celica is diminishing. People ask me if I want to sell it and for how much and I always go high, I'm like uh, 7. And they're like WOW! That is it?! Me: Umm..yeah...

Who knows, a nice European car wouldn't hurt. Or a Supra or Rx7 *dream*

Edit: Didn't know I already posted in this thread. First reply too. I suck at life.

Dont be so sure of that dude. I was making 7.50 an hour when i managed a Papa Murphys pizza place and then I came to jetblue and started making 10.65 an hour for 40 hours a week with profit sharing as well but I dont know where my money is going. >tongue.gif>

edit: BTW Profit sharing usually goes into your Stock purchase plan which you probably have as well or into your 401K so you really don't see that money for a while.
